Hypnotic Skills

Self-Hypnosis is one of the many mind-body interventions gaining increasing popularity in recent years. Though self-hypnotic techniques, patients and family members are guided to relax their conscious mind and stay more in touch with their unconscious mind. Self-Hypnotic techniques have been proven effective in alleviating psychosomatic problems including pain, sleep quality, stress, anxiety and numerous long term conditions. This training integrates both Traditional Hypnotherapy and Ericksonian (Integrative) Hypnotherapy, introducing end-of-life care workers with simple self-hypnotic techniques through experiential learning. It is hoped that end-of-life care workers can integrate self-hypnotic techniques as one of the flexible, reflective, ethical and efficient mode of intervention into their daily practices.
